Midships: Booking Terms & Conditions
Sorry there has to be some legal stuff, but please read the below carefully.
Midships is hired as holiday accommodation only. Please leave Midships in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the hire period.
TAKEOVER TIMES – Midships is available after 3.00 pm on the first day of hire and we ask that it is vacated before 10.00 am on the last day of hire.
ACCOMODATION – Midships can accommodate up to 4 people, in a double and two single beds. Please do not use the cottage for sleeping more people than stated on your booking form.
No items should be hung outside the windows and noise levels inside Midships and within the communal areas should be considerate of the neighbours.
DOGS – We cannot accept dogs at Midships.
DEPOSIT & CANCELLATIONS – A non-refundable deposit is due on booking equal to 30% of the total hire charge. Payment can be made by bank transfer as directed on the booking form. If the booking is cancelled within 8 weeks from the start of the booking then regrettably no refund of the deposit will be made. If a cancellation is made at least 8 weeks before the start of the hire then the owners will do their utmost to re-let the apartment and in that case the deposit will be refunded.
BALANCE OF PAYMENT – The balance of the hire charge is due by cheque or bank transfer at least 8 weeks before the start of the hire. If the booking is made within 8 weeks of the start date the full hire charge will be due on booking. If the balance remains due after the 8 week deadline, the owners reserve the right to remarket the cottage for the hire period.
UNAVAILABILITY – If due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the owners’ control the Midships becomes unavailable then all payments will be refunded and the owners will be relieved of all liability.
LIABILITY – The owners of Midships are not liable for any loss or damage to any guest’s property or any property belonging to a member of the guest’s party howsoever caused. The guest or member of his/her party cannot hold the owners of Midships liable for any personal injury or death howsoever sustained where the owners and/or their employees, agents or contractors have used reasonable skill and care; and/or caused by the fault of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party (including inadequately supervised children); and/or where caused by the fault of a third party, and/or where caused by an event that could not have been reasonably foreseen or avoided.
VALUABLES – The owners cannot we held responsible for any valuables left in the Midships.
DAMAGE – Please report any damage to, or defect of the owners’ property or premises immediately to the owners.
KEYS & FOBS – Keys and fobs should be returned to the key safe at the end of you stay. If any item is lost the owner should be informed and a charge reflecting the replacement cost will be made.
PARKING/GARAGE – One car is permitted to be parked in the communal garage in the designated space. Please be aware that the entrance is narrow and may not accommodate a large vehicle. The owner accepts no liability for damage to or theft from vehicle.
GYM – Use of the small communal gym on the lower ground floor is permitted. Please ensure the machines are operated competently and wiped down after use. Owner cannot guarantee all machines will be functioning at any given time and accepts no liability for injury.
EXTERNAL DOORS – to be closed after guests entry or exit.
RUBBISH & WASTE – Rubbish and recycling should be left in the communal bins at the rear of the Burlington building. Please do not leave litter around Midships as it may cause a fire hazard.
SMOKING – Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside Midships or any of the communal Burlington building.
RIGHT OF ENTRY – Whilst respecting the reasonable privacy of the guests, the owners reserve the right to access Midships at all times, if necessary, for repairs and emergencies.
